Geography Student Receives Earth Science Award

Jacob Arndt, a graduating senior in Geography, was recently awarded the Newton H. Winchell Award for Excellence in Earth Science at the Winchell Undergraduate Research Symposium that took place at Coffman Memorial Union on Friday, April 29. He won the award for his poster, which outlined how the upper-level jet affects commercial flight times in the Minneapolis-Seattle corridor. The poster was a part of his senior project.
